Roock use to use the 993 1995 GT2 K24's for the hot side. Most people don't understand these K24's are alot bigger than the current K24's. They are also very hard to get.

CJV is right, The Roock K24 GT2 turbos are K27s that have stupid lag for street usage. In either case the price mentioned for the turbos is ridiculous. Moreover, Roock Germany does not build turbos (or almost anything else) in house, they subcontract them, just like a Gemballa turbo, intercooler etc..

They where are one point. It is my understanding today that they are two seperate operations. I visited David at Prototech in Florida last December, he has a full in house fabrication and tuning facility. I was impressed with one of his very fast 996 tiptronics. Anyway, hope that answers your question...

Chad we only used the 993 K/24's turbo's on 2 occasions in the USA before using the 996 K24's.

Were the 996 K24's better or more readily available?

The K/24's we used were tweaked and the 996 version was not available in the begining.

Neil,

I am refering to the 1995 993 GT2 K24's. They are just a bit better than the 996 K24's. Roock did know what he was doing in this instant.

If I remember correctly they were used on Shank's car. At the the time we all thought Roock was pulling a fast one with these turbo's.
