I have not seen her in the last three weeks...I will post some photos next week as I make my trip to LA...for the update... everything is done with the exception of the ECU.....the Motec along with all the extra sensors, which is getting a custom wiring harness for the Supra...about two weeks..then we go on the engine dyno followed by the chassi dyno...which will be followed by a custom suspension setup and finallllllyyyy some track testing in Mexico ( )..

Duude that GN doesn't even sound like it's shifting (which I am sure it is). Just a constant HOWL...
You guys are in a completely diffrent league! I'm happy living vacariously!

True but your talking 2 different animals. 1500hp Supra's are for a very small extreme person...Not unlike a 950 hp 996TT. And just as the new 997TT will sell so will the new Supra...and Nissan. Many people prefer a factory setup...

Very true Johnny. I am personally excited to see the new model.
What else can you tell us about the new models.
What make them decide to bring back the Supras? The previous MKIV sales were disastrous due to the fact that noone was willing to pay $45K for a Toyota back then. Do you think they will have better edge in 2008 over their competitors who already have their 500hp on the market such as Z06, 997TT, Viper and Mustang Shelby.

I am doubting that Toyota will come out with a high HP Supra. They've failed many times in the past with the sport cars, MR2, MR2 Spyder, Celica, Supras. They have all been discontinued due to poor sales. So I doubt they will make a $$$ Supra and expect people to bite on the idea when Nissan has the 350z at mid $20s only. It hasn't been confirmed or official that the new Supra is coming out. Its just rumors at the moment. What gave you the idea that the new Supra is official?

Well I'm not sure if we should keep taking this thread furthur astray, probably should be its own thread. But I read in one of the magazines.. Car & Driver, Motor Trend.. not sure which one. But they said it was official, and that there will be two versions offered. One to directly compete with the 350Z, with a 350 HP V6 $29k car. And a big dog with their new 5 liter V8 with 450 HP, not sure of the price point, but I'm guessing 40's. The sales success of the 350Z/G35 prompted Toyota to not let Nissan have all the fun. They will be sharing motors and chassis with other cars to keep the cost down. One of which is a Lexus IS500 coupe.

We are seriously going way off topic!
But to answer your question, the new R35 is suppose to be seriously sick over 450BHP with AWD, its the cheaper answer to the 997TT. However I'm not liking the way it looks, but than again Skylines were designed to be pretty like Porsches. I've been reading the prices for it to be around $60k-$70k. I highly doubt most people with money will buy the car, they shouldn't be spending that kind of cash and getting the same service like the person who bought a Altima. The car should've have been brought over as an Infiniti, that way you can at least get a loaner car if its in for service.

There will be a big HP Lexus coming out as a Halo car, but everything else is just speculation. That being said I'll stick to my big single MKIV.

Just curious who is the largest tuner in the US. By volume or by expertise.
