The Car That Will Destroy VRAlex’s 996TT
#23
VR - what mods do you have on your 996? There are MANY Supras running around at 800 rwhp on stock block, so i'm assuming you are at 900 rwhp +. From a dead dig, the 996 will be VERY tough to beat, I don't think an 800 rwhp Supra stands a chance against a 600 rwhp 996 from 0-100 (as long as the 996 driver knows how to launch the thing). However, 60-160 the 996 will get smoked.
And contrary to what i've read on this post, the Supra holds 800 rwhp nicely from 60 on up on the street (depending on type of road surface and tire of course).
Good luck on your project, seems like you'll be making around the same power (a bit more) that Ryan makes on a single gt47-88. I'd love to see a curve compared to a big single curve when you're done.

lol - Now I will think of this everytime I hit "88 MPH" ! -

Thank you- As you know, the frame on the Supra is very heavy! As long as I can keep a custom stereo (400-430lb) out of her (lol), She will be around her goal weight....
variable-
Videos will be posted for your review.

Thanks- Back in the early 90's I would never even give the Supra a second look. I always thought they where too heavy and too slow! Boy was I wrong!
k24madness-
howabout you make the list, and then we can shoot the video.....maybe I can pull a 'Chris Chow' with the rollers?
WOODTSTER-
That boy has no integrity or honor, and he is not returning my calls for another run from a dig, so why should I even bother with him? On the other hand, I dont believe that he will want to be so humiliated (again) running the Poopra (maybe there will be a new excuse this time??)....but you never know when you 'accidently' run into each other on the freeway (that sounded bad- the accidently-run into each other part).....
Alex-
and Videos, videos there will be....

Thanks you- I will list all my mods/videos/dyno charts as soon as the 996tt gets retired (sometimes in last May or early June). I did run a single turbo supra that put down 780hp on the freeway from 60-160 and the outcome shows in the videohttp://media.putfile.com/996tt_Supra_Camarofixed). I will post a 45psi dyno chart for everyone to see the power under the curve when the motor is on the dyno..

Well if it's weight you are worried about, you could always do this (ha,ha):

Saw the car at their shop, just insane is all I can say. Light as hell, huge, huge power
