The Car That Will Destroy VRAlex’s 996TT

This thread is just insane! Since 1500rwhp is starting to become the norm around here when do we get to see a 2000rwhp? Or maybe 3000rwhp? Reading these numbers and watching some of the video clips posted is almost like ****.

It is very interesting how times change (or repeat).... things tend to follow a natural cycle before they come full circle and start again...even the US big three auto makers are in the horsepower war once again . Thanks to technology (and a deep pocketbook) thesedays, one is able to build a vehicle (or vehicles) to their expectations...In some circles, you need a MINIMUM of 1000RWHP before your car is even acknowledged...

The bottom line is that we live in a very fast (no pun intended) and technologicaly advanced time where our automotive dreams can be made into reality in a short (relative) time...and we can be out driving them...

You mean "Since", and not "If".....and you are right, he has many 2Khp to 3Khp motors around his shop..

As far as the 1000RWHP before your car is even acknowledged, is that how much HP you're running on your 996? Because if not then you may retract your statement to a much lesser HP. Because you're well known to this community already.
On that note...soon...I am expecting in the neighborhood of 2500RWHP out of my 69 Camaro.....632cu (EFI MOTEC) with twin GT4788 Turbos...and this will be a "quiet" streetcar that my grandmother could get groceries in...

You're right about the 1,000 HP comment, I made near 850 on stock shortblock this year with my Supra and that's nothing nowadays. Time to step to the next level and either put another GT40 on or go 47-88 and a stroker.

All this HP talk reminds me of the American Hot Rod show w/ that little troll Boyd C and the building of that red vette for Scott Dove, wtf is that guy btw ? Anyway he built for this guy a Twin Turbo Nextel Cup motor basically for street use. I saw the Dyno just fly past 1500 HP and 1800 Tq and that was BEFORE the turbos were tuned properly. Just reminds me of this supra.

(Salt Flats)
The M5 is a great example as is the MB S65! A friend of mine just picked up the S65 and added all the Renntech goodies....The car is awesome! He is going to the track next weekend with some drag radials and we will hopefully see some low 11's at around 130MPH...
Thats everyday power to me!....it is nice not having to downshift to pass a GXSR1000 on a two lane road not to mention if you have to get from Las Vegas to LA, it is faster (and more fun) to drive than fly...
As for the Salt Flats, I am attending the Gumball Rally next month with Adrian (Birdman), we are starting from Salt Lake City to LA, one of the 'fun stops' will be running the Salt Flats...
PS. 80% on the cars in my stable make over 1000hp....and yes this includes a Porsche...

is this is for supras for you now? you certainly can't expect to find a more pristine one at this point.

LOL, timing timing timing...I have a business venture I'd really like to get involved with, and it would help to free up some cash. We'll see what happens, if I don't get my price, i'll keep the QS and pass on the business deal...at the end of the day, it's just business and it's just a car!
