Is there a MAF solution?
My car has gone thru 3 MAF's in the past 5000 miles. I have the v-flow oiled intake. Is there a solution? Ive heard of the non oiled filter and maybe the use of a 986 MAF. Has anyone figured out why the MAF fails and how to fix the problem?

Don't anyone take this the wrong way, but there seems to be a lot of issues with this Evo intake set up, oiled or dry! although dry is slightly better from reading the posts!
3 MAF's, mmmmmm!

You say Po-tate-oh, I say Po-tah-to. EVO or Evoms. Build it and they will come.
I've been holding off on the filter for the MAF solution (other than a bi-monthly cleaning).

I have had no such issue at ALL with mine and I have almost 3000 miles on it....so.....will this new maf have any performance benefit for someone like me? Or is it mostly a fix to the too sensitive factory unit?

J/k of course. As I understand it, the new MAF is strictly to address the weakness and high fail rate of the OEM MAF.
