what is this inside the left front bumper..

inside the grill on the left side, there is a wire that hooks up to this "probe" looking device. Anyone have an idea what it is for? Some type of sensor?

What voltage is it, 12v? Reason is I'm thinking of putting a camera on that side, saw it..

thanks guys!

do you guys know the voltage? I'm thinking of for track day, I don't need an outside temp sensor.. and just using that somehow to power a small camera.

Or should I just leave it be and use a power pack?
