EVO GT700 - GT2 10.3 @ 211 KM/HR - Post for Bahrain 996TT

Wow!Bahrain's GT 700 has some crazy times to the 1/8 mile as compared to my GT700 10 sec pass.He has me by almost 4tenths at the 60 ft (1.30 to my1.69)and 5 tenths (6.60 to my 7.10) at the 1/8 but with less mph(103.27 to my 106.09).I think maybe Silver is on to something.Idon't think the beams are being broken until your rear tires are clearing the beams.I also launched at 4000 rpms but with awd and no wheel hop or spin and could only manage a1.67 best(couldn't imagine a 1.30 in my car).I am also a Evoms supporter (my car will be there in May for GT900)and just trying to shed some light on this thread.

[quote=KPG I have never heard any questions from you concerning PSI... it is all EVO, all the time from you. Why? Thanks , Kevin[/quote]
That's because we haven't seen any PSI cars run in the 10's!Oh and also because Woodster has their programing.

The debate has been, and still is about the accuracy of the 60' times...which I now *definitely* think are off after watching these new vids. Especially the GT2 vid.
The most plausible reason anyone has brought up in the thread is the possibility that the height of his car is causing the issue.
If those 60' and 1/8th times are accurate, he should be into the 9's. That is...unless his car loses a bunch of power after the 1/8th mile mark. Which I don't think it does. So in regard to the 60' time accuracy, the case is most certainly NOT closed.

Especially considering I'm "the enemy".

Awesome ETs and congrats on running the elusive ten second passes. And DEEP into the tens!
I find it hard to believe your car ran a 1.2x 60' time. I'm sure your timeslips says that, but I don't believe your car is not 60'ing in 1.2x .. or 1.3x.
I'm sure I am not the only person here with an NHRA (or equivalent) pro licence who has seen thousands of hard launches. Those movies don't look like 1.2x short times to me.

Im going to go along with the video.... .. but I also ran my car well over 100 times.. not just twice or three times... and I know what a 1.7 60ft feels like.. and looks like..
after watching the video... I am skeptical cause I wathced my 1.7 60ft many times... here is my 1.7 60 ft. on 19" tires... see and compare whos car takes off better.... and listen to the sound(tires of both launches... ) and Im only at 1.7 60ft.
yet I still have to take the video as proof. maybe if they would take the car to a different track that would shed some more light... ???
here u go.. please look at my launch :
