Advice needed re: 996TT battery replacement
The battery on my 2001 996TT is completely dead. Does anyone have any strong feelings about which brand I should seek for replacement and where I should purchase it?

I went with an Optima Yellow Top, which is a deep cycle battery designed to be tolerant of deep discharges that tend to occur when the car sits for awhile. For a daily driver, I would have gone with the normal Red Top version. I would also suggest a battery tender if the car sits from time to time.

may not matter but the best advise on these cars is the trickle charger, they go dead easily when not driven regularly.
