Re: DIY Oil Change Procedure...

Thanks Joe for the oil change pointer. Over the weekend I was at B&M for a tech sesion that they hosted for a group of us (mostly bimmers) and had my car on the lift. There seems to be quite a few drain plugs.

With regards to draining the oil out of the turbos, do I need to fill the tubos with oil or anything? Or would the sump take care of it. Sorry, I know the question is retarded...

One last question, where are people getting their oil filters from? And how much should they cost?

I ask because over the weekend when we did the brake flush, my buddy kind of um, cross threaded one of the bolts, and I had to drive all over town for a stupid bolt that I had to pay $14 for. Call me crazy, but $14 for a bolt? But what was I gonna do, drive my Turbo with four nuts?

Other than that, the brake flush was a success! And the brake pedals are now back to normal. The car now has 8000 miles, has seen 4 two day DE's. The rest of the year schedule is:

August - Thunderhill
September - Button Willow
November - Sears Point
