First time you get to see a 959 in person and see under the hood you will be very impressed. There is a lot of technology in that car! There are several in my area including on red S that is simply stunning.

I am with you on issue car. That is the great thing about Porsche, is all their cars are bullet proof.

I think your options at this point are limited thrill wise doc. You have the f40 and the cgt, i can tell you right now that the 220 or the cs wont live up. The only cars i can think of that will up the collection are the Mclaren f1(of course), enzo and veyron. After those you can look into the eb110, zonda-s, saleen s7, f50...

I'm going to pass on the XJ220...I thought about it tonight and I've realized that I want to stay away from "issue" cars...be it mechanical/servicing issues, interior issues, engine issues etc...

Was watching Top Gear last night where Clarkson was testing the Koenigsegg, OMFG! That is unreal, buy one of these. The stupid sweedish designers never put a bloody spoiler on the beast and the Stig was driving it and come off at some silly speed, hit a tyre wall and smashed the front end up! Koenigsegg are taking the car back to Sweeden for a spoiler to be put on and it's returning to the Top Gear track for the Stig to try again. Funny as last night!

The stradale is a better car, driving wise. If its for rare factor then the 220 is obviously the car to choose. I think now after the amount of time the xj220 will only increase in value.

How about a CLK DTM? They are available for import, can be converted to US spec relatively cheap, and are very rare.

I've ridden in one and can tell you it is quite a machine. On the street it seemed easily as fast as the SLR.

Even though Doc decided to pass on the XJ220, I hope bumping this thread is alright. I uploaded the 2 TG clips mentioned here.

Whenever you're looking for specific Top Gear or Fifth Gear clips, ask me! Chances are that I have them, if not, I'll get them.

No definite info yet on the 430CS, and I'm not on a list nor willing to pay over MSRP on any car, so I don;t see that happening soon...

However, I think I found my car !!!! Hope to wrap it up this week...

Thanks for the feedback gang....
