door storage lid removal

Just got some new alu- look map compartment/ door storage lids to replace but am having a hard time figuring out how best to remove the old lids. Other than taking out the 10+ tork screws under the lid, is there any other easier approach?

Thanks

Sameer

Takes all of 5 minutes to remove those 8 screws and put the new lid on. Just replaced mine yesterday.

No I got a red leather lid...I added some red to my all black car just to spice it up. I did not want the CF as it is hard and I prefer something softer to rest my arm on. I'll post pics when I am done.

Cool. I ordered the CF and was wondering about the comfort issue as well. Though, I love the cold, hard, smooth feel of my CF shifters and door pulls. I'm hoping it's the same with the lid, but have the same concern as you, since the lid is something we rest on as opposed to simply grabbing like the others.
