DYMAG: Carbon Fiber & Magnesium Wheels

Anyone know anything about this? I e-mailed asking about sizes available - They look very cool and the performance increase sounds second to none. Sharkster - this would significantly increase the carbonium factor!:

Carbon/Magnesium Car Wheel launched.
Dymag lauches the world's first commercially available carbon fibre & magnesium hybrid wheels. This exciting development stretches the boundaries of performance wheel technology & represents a step change in wheel evolution. Dymag leads where others follow.

Thanks Fabryce!

RENNWORX has just finalized the distribution rights for DYMAG Carbon Fiber /Magnesium Wheels.

They can be custom made to just about any specification boltpatterns or Center Lock. The wheels come specific 18,19 & 20" applications with the heaviest wheel a 20x12 at 19lbs.

I have some samples and the 18x9 Porsche front wheel weighs 14lbs in the split 5 spoke.

Contact me at 310-200-3881 or BK@RENNWORX.COM for more information.

I should have my set for my GT3 next week and I will post pictures at that time.

Glad they finally got a real distributor. They have been out for a while now. Their original distributor was Autovelocity Inc. but they wound up taking a bunch of people's money and never delivered product. Wound up getting a crminal investigation & closing up shop. The wheels look great. Last time they were running about $5K+ for a set. I would rather get something like this, then some of the other sets of wheels that cost $5K.

wow, 14 lbs for a wheel measuring 18 x 9?!?!?! I wonder what a 17 x 8 would weigh, I'm guessing 12 maybe? They look really nice also. But whoa at 5K+ Unsprung weight savings is worth it's weight in gold or in this case CF and magnesium lol

When I was checking them for my car last time, they were quoting me prices of around $1200-$1500 per wheel. How much has that changed ?

Dymag Carbon/mag Wheel

Here is a picture taken at Brands Hatch testing. The car was reportedly a half a second a lap faster on the Dymag then on the BBS mag wheels using the same driver and rubber.

hmmm...sounds cool. I wonder if they've done any testing in cold weather situations? Carbon fiber gets very brittle in extreme cold.

Do you have a pic of the entire car from the side? That looks awesome, I'd love to see the whole thing with those wheels.
