Porsche GT3 vs Ferrari 360 Stradale vs Ford GT
#16
I agree that the CD numbers look odd. And, I think that comparing those high HP cars to the GT3 wasn't really fair. All that being said, when you get to cars at this level, there is so much more to it than numbers on a sheet of paper.
Is the Ferrari bettter than the Porsche, better than the Ford or visa, visa versa? I think that the emotion and viceral experience produced by any given car along with the built in bias for one brand or another all play a major part in why one car might be better than another for a given idividual.
For me, I love my Twin Turbo and would love to have a new Carerra GT sitting next to it in the garage, but I wouldn't mind having both the Stradale and the Ford GT sharing garage space as well. I defy anyone to get out of any true high end car after a limits exploring ride without having a huge on their face.
So, while I won't be trading my TT any time soon, I will always remember my first ride in a 360 (thanks Jack!) and for the sound alone feel the need have one sitting next to the Porsche at some point in my life. I would no doubt feel the same about the Ford GT if I ever had a chance to catch a ride in it as well. When you get to cars at this level, it's all good!

actually isn't the S7 only 2750 lbs? the S7 redlines @ 7k and is NA. is it possible that the SC'd ford developes power earlier (and maybe for more RPM)? or maybe the S7 is just hard to hook up?

why match the Ford GT to GT3 and Stradale? C&D should have included the GT2/Viper/Gallardo in the shootout, in that case the outcome will be much much closer. I could sense that C&D pick the GT3 and stradale because they want the Ford GT to look good.
