Wait a minute....let me get this straight.......I have a Porsche TT, and it's not stock. I like to mod my cars.....when I mod my cars......I am pretty much trying to complete a vision of what the perfect example of whichever car I am modifying might be.....In MY opinion.....So lets see....so now my TT has aprox $40,000 in modifications including 19" Champions, but I must be a poser because I don't care for the stock wheels......huh?

I was tracking my car at Thunderhill Raceway in Nor Cal last week..........there was a stock 996TT there as well...my brother was timing us informally and found that I was averaging about 10 SECONDS A LAP FASTER THAN HIM...........Huh? Wait a minute....that's impossible...I am a poser!! How could this be? Surely he had the better handling car because he had the stock wheels!

Oh yeah,,,,,,that's right, I must have had better skills than the other guy. Right? Yeah, and if I had been running 18's...maybe I would have been 11 seconds faster......

You should really rethink your attitude.....you remind me of one of those kids in a riced out nissan who thinks they know everything......

Also, I don't know of a SINGLE person who would look at my 19's and call them BLING.......get real.........

Chris

Not talking about these forums with VERY nicely modded cars but when in real world:

- When I see a Turbo with 19" wheels I'm usually like "wow, that looks beautifully modded, I guess the owner wants a beautiful car with some bling"

- When I see a Turbo with more rubber, like 18" wheels (aftermarket or painted stock) I'm usually like "wow, what an agressive setup! Guess the owner is 100% performance-minded and that car really is fast and racey and not just a poser!"

Sorry guys, that's my opinion...I know all here disagree with me Oh well...maybe I'll just get a 19" street set and stop this whining and go with the majority for a bit bling...

as the tone... like the flake is different or something... seal gray has more of a charcoal flake where as the bumper looks like it has more of a silver flake so when the light hits it the color is different.
Ahh i see what you mean, hmm. It seems over some parts of the body you can get a silvery color, not always charcoal, but i dont know, oh well!

Chris, just trying to say how I prefer ill's current look Glad you are fast at the track.
Perhaps check out my first sentence in the previous message. I wasn't talking about all these wonderful cars in the forum (like yours) which have a lot of performance modifications and the owners (like you) are real enthusiasts and can really drive their cars fast. The cars at the 6speedonline are amazing and rare.
I was stating how I feel about an average guy who takes his stock Turbo to a shop to get some 19"s versus an average guy I see with aftermarket 18"s.
But maybe I'm just all wrong because the country where I live has like 12 996 Turbos...

Perhaps I should get real if no one looks your 19"'s and call them BLING. But honestly, the tire profile is something like a 25...

I would like to have a 19" street set. Ray's black Cargraphics are nice...we'll see. But I keep my humble opinion: a RoW-spec Turbo with 19" wheels doesn't look good. A modded car with nice 18" wheels (like ill's) does look good. A modded car with good 19" wheels (BBS, Kinesis, Cargraphic etc.) does the trick too of course!!

Car looks good but I'm not feeling those wheels. Maybe you should keep those for track/foul season and consider something a bit brighter and more open to show off the big reds. Unique-looking so I'll keep an eye for you on the roads of LI. Keep up the enjoyment!

Thanks Johnnn, damm coming out of the woodwork for a compliment, i'll take it jkjk! Yea im just taking it easy, trying to do stuff quick but not all at once so i get bored of the car, also planning out and toying with different setups, i want to do it aggressive but still clean, dont want to ruin the appearance so we'll see, wheels should be here shortly and got a few other things coming

Hope all is well John, hope to see you in your new car shortly, then guess what, that's my next gradual step after i drool all over it
