that was brilliant!!!

brought back so many fond memories of my one and only visit to the 'Ring last year. it was so intimidating, but so bloody exciting! the first time you drive thru the gate and realize "omigod i'm actually HERE!".

i drove a rental 996 C4S, and in hindsight, it was the perfect car for a 'Ring newbie! not too fast, yet with the safety net of AWD, and of course, it was PORSCHE!

i'm back later this year, to take delivery of the RT12 and GT3. (yes, i will be VERY careful!)

again, thanks for a truly great post!

Too bad I don't have...I'll check some archives out... anyway it was a stock-looking black 996 turbo.

Nice stuff going on there! I've driven my first laps too with a 996. Great and very enjoyable sports car...but RT12 and GT3 Congratulations! How are you able to drive both of them, you must be very busy man during your delivery trip...
