Twin Eprom ECU

What eveyones thoughts on a twin eprom ECU.we have been testing twin eprom ECU's.ie you can have 2 engine maps and switch from one to another on the fly via a dash mounted switch.
You know what these ECU guys are like

Can't you do that with a standalone engine management?

yeh thats correct.but this is done with stock ECU.
