Carbon Fiber Instrument Surround???

Hi Gang,

I ordered a Carbon Fiber instrument surround a couple of weeks ago and it finally came in. I was EXTREMELY surprised to see that it shipped with the ENTIRE INSTRUMENT POD (minus the leather covering). So... not only did I get the Carbon Fiber Instrument surround, but I got the entire pod that it screws into.

Is this normal???

I paid roughly $590 for the entire setup... but I'll only be using the carbon fiber piece. So.. what happened?

1. The dealer ordered the correct piece, and you always get the instrument pod (no instruments) when you order the carbon fiber instrument surround.

2. The dealer ordered the wrong thing and charged me for both the pod and the carbon fiber surround trim when I only needed the carbon fiber surround trim.

3. The dealer orderd the wrong thing, charged me for the carbon fiber instrument surround and accidentally gave me the entire pod.

Anybody know?

Kind Regards,

Joe West

When I went to the dealer, they had the surround C/F in stock. They charged me $325.00

I have the receipt.

Does you have a part number? Does anyone? If I can find a part number for the less expensive "carbon fiber surround" part only instead of the whole pod... I can take the pod back for a refund.

Unless of course someone wants to buy it so they can paint it!
