It is very easy to get the rear sliding...what is difficult is keeping a good drift angle and then snapping the car into an opposite slide without doing a 360. The guys from FloridaRacing.org took some great shots.

Did you actually get that video? If so did it help?

Looks like they really loved taking pictures of your car.

Are you usinn Nitto tires? Wouldn't light throttle throughout counter steering will plant down the rear from doing 360.

Ended up using an old pair of Michelin Pilot Sports which were destroyed by the end of the day. Sliding in one direction around one corner is not the problem...in these drifting events, you are sliding through a left hand sweeper and then immediately have to change direction (snap the car the other way) and slide through a right hand sweeper and so on and so on. This is not easy with a 911. Sometimes these corners are decreasing or increasing radius and may also be off-camber and/or uphill or downhill. This method of driving is very difficult with a car that has an engine mounted behind the rear axle...pendulum effect. The popular car for these events is the Nissan 240SX, 50/50 weight distribution and very controllable.

That sounds like a difficult course for a first timer. May its cheaper getting a Nissan but than again it wouldn't be unique.

Nice work. Strange how the tires seem to turn into tar once they get really hot huh? Almost starts to feel like you're on ice.
