OK, here are the pics.


I had to have the unit made to a custom height. I had over a 1/2" to spare, I should have made it taller. Thank goodness the Lambo is low otherwise I would have had to raise the garage door opener earlier.




You can see the arms. These are also custom low profile arms to get underneath the Lambo. You will also notice that there is nothing beneath you when working as most lifts have a hump you have to walk/roll over. Mine crosses at the ceiling where you don't care.

Yes I plan to do a nice floor and clean everything up. Summer project this year I hope (assuming the Pcar set up doesn't take too much time and the data acquisition system install is easy).

I fully agree that suspension and wheel related work goes much better with the two poster, but are you planning to store the car on it as well? I would be cautious about leaving the suspension extended for long periods.

I like the road side sage brush growing by the passenger side front tire of the Lambo... Nice touch !!!

 

Rockitman: My Lambo used to see so much of the brush at the race track it feels lonely without any around.

Ken, no, I'm in agreement with you, I don't feel comfortable storing the car on the lift and recommend a 4-poster for that.

Cary, yes the shovels are close but the unit is tied down to the wall so unless I drop the damn thing, it can't get at my "little red *****". I did put the big ladder on the other side of the lift so that if it falls, it will only crush the E55 (being built as we speak).

I have to allow about 6 feet all the way around the minivan so my end of the garage gets more crowded than I would like. I plan to put up storage racking above the other garage doors so that I can put summer things up there and visa-versa in winter to clear up more floor space. I need a bigger garage but they have restrictions, can't face the road, must be connected to the main structures, ... so I am stuck with 4+ car for now. Luckily, I can store cars at my plant as needed.

 

By the way, the Countach is sweet!!!!
