Just bought a 2001 turbo...upgrade time?
OK guys, just bought a used low mileage 996 turbo, it runs pretty strong, but I know I will need more. I have researched the different "power" houses SharkWerks, PSI/Orton, EVOMS, AWE etc...they all offer very similar packages with little price difference. Sharkwerks seems a little more expensive than the others. Some offer headers, others dont....So here is the question...who would you go with?
I am looking for a real world 550ish hp/tq car that is relaible and with little lag. Would you swap out the interecoolers as well? I Drive in some of the hotter areas like TX, NV, CO , NM and AZ quite a bit. The Vendor I go with will also do PSS9's, hose kit and maybe some other tweaks awhile they have the car if cost effective. The car will be in Dallas but would ship to get the best work for the money if needed.
Any thoughts, advice, brand preferences, suggestions (good and bad)???
I appreciate all replies.

It seems that the k-16 turbos are only good for 500-525 bhp. If you think you will need more, you will need to upgrade the turbos. Many have gone to stock GT2 turbos, the k-24's. They are probably good for 600 bhp but are reportedly very laggy. The preferred choice is probably to go with hybrid k24's which have less lag and can support some big hp #'s, over 700 I think. Good luck and enjoy the journey. Lets see some pics of that beauty!

Deep Blue:
perfect color combo, I looked for awhile to find it!
RS4: I looked at one last weekend, very, very, nice,
wish it had the new auto that Audi has in A3!!
(have only in transverse applications currently).

Christopher,
Have you considered Cargraphic?
They offer a Stage 4 package which was developed in conjunction with RS Tuning that might just be the solution for you.
PM Hershel or Erik from Cargraphic for more info.
