Is my car supposed to feel like a speed boat?

Hey Statman - quick follow-up questions:
You've got me excited about these new tires. Haven't been this excited about rubber since I was 16 So what will I notice mostly?
And, since I've got Sport Technos(on my 2nd set in less than 6mos thanks to hoodlums), I've got 7mm front spacers and 15mm rear spacers to fit so they should still fit ok?

IS no one else using a GT3 rear bar. TRUST ME. It flattens out the car and forces the front to bite more. Try it for less than 200$ you can't loose. Many of these other options are MUCH more. I like it a lot! It almost feels twitchy but that s because I was used to the understeer. I have alot of room to tighten but for now second softest is fine.

The rear sway bar is a bolt-on affair. Easy to do especially compared to the front sways. The front bar would need drop links to mount it. TRG used to make them but don't know if they still do or not. S-Car-Go also made curved ones so if anyone's keeping the front shafts and not going two wheel drive, you need either option for the fron sway bar. On mine I had the tightest setting and liked how it minimized the understeer.

The rear swaybar will make a huge difference. The front will not make nearly as much of a difference. You may want to be careful though as this will move the car towards oversteer at the limit of traction.
To explain my post before, if you buy coilovers you are getting a tuned combination of springs and dampers (shocks). Just springs without stronger dampers will cause an imbalance.
Lowering springs have to be stiffer to prevent bottoming because they have less distance to travel. That extra stiffness will all cause them to spring back more quickly. Your stock shocks or dampers are not tuned for the faster rebound and this combination will actually cause MORE of a floating feeling in the front end over bumps (less control over rebound). For many cars you can buy heavier/stronger dampers from Bilstein, KYB, etc. I am not sure if these are available for this specific application.

I have new bridgestone SO2's and run the pressures as in the owners manual. 45rears and 38fronts.
I would love to go with some coilovers but im on a bit of a budget. Would thicker sway bars help?

Sorry for the late reply. I suggest suspension and the rear bar. You need a bit lower and stiffer on these cars. The bar after the suspension really flattend the car out though. I also started running 3,2 on my PSS9 and it is a little stiff but much less bouncey over bumps. Recoil is controlled better. I also am running 235 front and 315 rear with some offsets and it helps with the understeer. Someone did caution about the rear bar and oversteer. I can say that I am on the second softest and the car really changed. I would not go full stiff and haul *** to the track. You may find your self early apexing and crashing. Much more responsive. My buddy in his GT3 is running front and rear 1 click firmer than me and his car feels like a go cart. Very, very responsive. Make small changes at a time and get used to it. This was suggested to me and now I see why. I may have been happy on full softest but we started on second softest where we were advised and love it.
