Jas, just for my clarification....

On your stradale - the stripe - thats factory right...if so? it is a decal under clearcoat correct? Or direct paint on?

Shank,

The Stripe on the Stradale is hand painted, and I beleive is roughly a $10k option.

Ryan,

How are you man ! Mine is a factory stripe (1 of 35 in the US from what I hear).... It is a decal that is then clear coated. Love the car, and hyperflow cats and an NGT Tubi arrived this week...I'll post some pics.

Strange that my former Ruf is for sale (if it is) so soon...kinda tempted to buy it back...

I stand correct, apologie. I think on Top Gear they had mentioned that but open doing some quick searching, the Doc is correct. Interesting though, many people seem to beleive that it is hand painted (probably because they have seen the Top Gear video as well, lol).

no problem man, I believe a lot of the confusion arose from dealers who incorrectly told prospective customers that they were hand painted...turns out its not, but still nicely done. If you run your fingers over the edges where the clear coat runs out (over hood edge for example), the decal can be felt.

It would be a bear to take it off as the clear coat is baked on at 120-140 C.
