I am a little skeptical with some of the remarks and observations on this thread. Am I wrong?

I don't know about X51. But my friends has run their stock 996TT and 997C2S with full AWE exhaust which claim + 39hp. They were almost the same at rolling start and 996TT slowly walk away at 3rd gear. Don't worry, none of them can touch your GT2

As Scott correctly observed, I'll believe it when a 997Sx51 traps at higher than 117. The original poster described a 30-40 foot advantage over less than a 1/4 mile (15-20 foot jump, ending with a 15-20 foot lead). That would mean that the 997Sx51 should trap close to 120 and run a 1/4 mile 4+ tenths faster than a 996TT.
