It's 2:30 now and we are headed over there shortly. You can call me if there's anything you need to know.

jajo is infamous around these parts
I just saw a speed yellow 911 Turbo at a nearby Benz dealership as I was driving by. If you would like me to get some details, I'd be more than happy to.

It wasn't in their main showroom or outside, but we forgot to ask about it. Some nice eye-candy in the form of CGT, Ford GTs, A-Ms, Lambo, F-cars, 993 Turbo S, and all Bentley models.

Hey guys, thanks for all the help and advice.

I got in touch with a sales person there today named Vincent. He said the car was "sold", BUT was not picked up yet. he will call me shortly and give me the official status of it. So I dont know who to believe. Did "gpop911s" actually buy the car and its sitting in his driveway or is someone pulling my leg?

JAJO, could you get me the details of that yellow turbo you saw at the Benz dealership you drove by?

Thanks again guys!

Hey. I stopped by to check it out today. It's Speed Yellow (as I said), with cinnamon (I'm not sure of the correct name for the color) interior. Wood trim. Automatic. 2001. 25,000 miles. $75,000. The exterior was in very good shape, but the interior was, um, ugly. If you are more interested in it, don't hesitate in asking me. I have bought two cars from there from the same salesmen, and he's a good guy. I can get you in contact with him if you would like.

As soon as I saw the interior with the wood trim and automatic transmission, I was like "Ewww" but it might be your thing.

Edit - If the guys previous to me said that 7k miles and $78,000 is too much, then I guess this TT is way overpriced.

Eww is right.. Yellow on natural brown is a hit or miss thing, i dont like it although i saw a 997tt with tan or a lighter brown and it was nice. Oh well, wood trim and auto are bad too

Looks like the 01 TT in speed yellow at Bentley of Long Island was sold on Saturday. I dont know the final sales price, but Im sure it sold for less than the 78.5K asking price. I guess I never heard back from Bentley on Friday cause they knew they had it sold already. Oh well... I still have 2 months remaining on an exsisting lease and I can take a little time to find the right TT in speed yellow.

Jajo, thank you for getting back to me on the TT that you saw. Tan leather just doesnt work for me on a speed yellow exterior. Nor does tiptrontic. Ive been driving Benz's for the last 7 years, and I want to go back to shifting myself. Again, thanks for checking that out.

As an interesting aside, while reading the latest AutoWeek classifieds, the Bentley Long Island (now full page & color) ad shows them as also having the Lamborghini franchise. This is exciting news in that the past year LI has gotten 2 sorely needed exotic franchises they were missing in Aston & now Lambo.
