Q re seat replacement (supple leather to sport)
I am in the process of swapping out the supple leather seats with factory sport seats. The passengar side was a breeze. Looked at the DIY write up by Rockit.. Thanks!!
I go over to the driver side thinking it was a done deal.. but ooooh nooo.. life is never that simple! There is a whole new set of wires to deal with!!! no idea what they are for or anything! These wires are going from the plug into the seat itself
Anyone have a clue?? I have full power supple leather with heat option. Will take a pic and post in a few.
Thanks.

Best of luck - let us know - I could not figure it out either - ended up finding a buyer for the half power sport seats - and then put GT3 seats in - no power but the GT3s have all the manual slides. Best to swap full power for full power.

yah, those are the wires for the seat memory and the heaters. You're passenger seat doesn't have memory. All extra wires just wrap with electrical tape and stick under the seat.
I had the supple seats with all that crap, and went to the gt3 seats, so all the wires are just taped up under my seat.

Maxwell, so there is a way to disconnect the wires from the original seats and then just leave them be with the sport seats? will this cause any problems? I really wanna get the install complete.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If your "new" seats do not have functions like memory, Heat, electric, etc. the wires are not needed. If the "new" seats have electric only then you will use the power harness. It all depends on what the seat has built into it. The wires are on harnesses and all of them do pop out. The front memory harness has two screws to pop off the rail and then the individual adaptors pop or slide out. This should be a 20 min job. It's very simple. Uplug your battery before starting.
It will not cause any problems. Other then you most likely loose memory and heat depending on what your new seat is capable of.

I don't mind losing memory and te seats are not heated. These are tha half power sport seats with power recline but manual slide. The power recline portion should be in the small connector like on the passengar side and I can just dissconnect the Big box under the driver seat?? I hope I am getting the right picture in my head or this could get exoensive.. joy!

Raza... Send me your e-mail, I will send you pics of the rear seats... They are not supple leather, they match the leather pattern you have on the sport seats..... So your front and rear seats will match..
