Silverracer and a buddy appear to have interest.

Ken - I thought to run the class where you get to go real fast you do need harnesses and a rollbar??
Also, what fire exting. should I get?? How/where can I mouont it so I can take it off after this thing and where is best place (pricewise) to get one?

Mansour,
The following photo is from Watt's old GT2. It is exactly what I want to do.

Here is a link to all of the information you will need:

Mansour,
The point I was making about saving you money, is that you only need to outfit your car if you want to increase your top speed ceiling to 140 or 150 mph in lieu of 124. A stock, unaltered car (with the exception of a fire extinguisher) can run in the Touring Division.

Cool....I also assume that helemets are a must??
I know that the most important thing about a helmet is FIT (just like Scuba gear)....Where is the vest place (again pricewise) to get one and what is the vest brand?? I know this was discussed before and I do not wann spend more then 3-400 on a decent helmet...A stylish one preferred than the boring white ones
Also, will Watt's exting. setup work on my TT since I only have regular sport seats?? can this be remnoved without leaving any trace/holes in the carpet, etc...

I hope Watt will read this and confirm or deny the following:

I believe this is the bracket that is required for non-powered seats:

http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r2015.php

I believe this is the bracket that is required for powered seats:

http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r2016.php

And I believe this is the adapter for the Safecraft Billet Extinguisher:

http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r9501.php

Watt? Is this correct??

PM me if interested.
Thanks Dan, I will keep that in mind...I am unsure whether I will attend this speed extravaganza for two reasons...
1) Lack of a Navigator (I don't think my Dad has the stomach to ride in a car for 160 miles averaging 124mph
2) Excessive cost to ship car there and back....I would estimate at least $3,500 for round trip shipping...I do not want to put all those miles on my car to drive it home from Nevada...

Regardless, I am still thinking about getting harnesses. I am running out of mods to do... I will PM you if I decide to do it)

Ken,
I put the BK harness and fire extinguisher in the TT for PCA DE events this past year. If you go the BK route for the harness, be careful if you have a Bose Bass box behind your seat. It calls for a different model. I'd love to go to this. Any room left on the truck?

I just spoke with Intercity Lines. Here is the deal:
The charter cost is $7500.00. This gets us:
  1. A dedicated truck
  2. A dedicated driver
  3. 6 vehicles
  4. A guaranteed delivery date
  5. $150K insurance for each vehicle
  6. Common pickup and drop off
  7. Satellite tracking of truck
  8. 4-5 day travel time

After looking into this further, it would make sense for us to arrange a common pickup somewhere in NJ around Friday, June 18. We would then fly into Salt Lake City, Utah on the June 23 and pickup the cars there. We would then drive 200 miles to Battle Mountain for the start of the event.

If we do a one way transport, it breaks down to $1250/person for the transport + airfare+event cost+safety equipment setup costs+gas and lodging to drive back if we do not transport them back.

So, I would like your feedback and commitments guys.

Based on the previous interest, we have:

Me
Sean
Tony
Ray
Dave

We would need one more guy for the transport to be viable.
Anybody interested????
