JOHN D
i ask KTR and they gave me different excuses
first was winter time on one dyno, then one of the cars was x50
they said their dyno is the most accurate e.t.c.i dont know its weird.

I just came from my mechanic,i asked him to reflashe the ecu to factory ,
and believe it or not the car runs much better.
there is any company who warranty the chip(hp)to go with?
i will bring the car to another dyno to check how much will give me with the original factory settings and my upgrades,
and then when i decide which chip i will go with ,i will bring it back to same people for one more dyno to see the difference.
any suggestion for chip company w/ warranty?

Billy,

I'm glad you got the problem straightened out. Does the car run perfectly now? I know last week at the 1/4 mile day - it sounded like something was very wrong with the car. As long as it is running correctly, you should be able to go forward and achieve the performance you are looking for...send me a pm and I can offer some ideas.

This is a fine example of comparing various dynos on various days under
various circumstances. Upsolute chip could be culprit...But it shows that
he has 50 HP gain over stock. This does not seem ridiculous to me.
I do believe more work should be done to the same car on the same dyno
under similar conditons to see if it can improve. Someone mentioned 80
hp/510 horsepower: Who garantees that?? K-16's + ECU tune and exhaust
is not an automatic "500" .

My opinion only!

Evan,
Warranty i will get the hp?
i will put my car on a mustang dyno with my factory settings
and then i will put your chip on and dyno at the same dyno
would you give me the money back if the car will not gain the HP you claim?

you can't compare dyno numbers from different dynos on different days for different cars. billy, did you ever get a baseline dyno?

The problem with agreeing to that is there are many other things that could be wrong with your car completely unrelated to the ECU and every car is different so it is not possible to promise you will get a specific gain. HOWEVER, I will make you the offer that if you are not happy with the power and driveablilty and reliability of the ECU you can send it back for a full refund (besides shipping) within a month of it leaving here! Either way I would ask that you post your findings here on 6speed again for everyone to see.
Give me a call if you want to take me up on the offer...
Evan

My ECU from FVD is also solid/error proof with awesome power!! Evan, question, do most of your ECU's run a bit rich, i feel like FVD's conservative ecu is equal to such an aggressive other brand ECU , which is a good thing!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Marski and Martin! The FVD Turbo ECUs do tend to run a little rich (as we run low boost IE: your 0.9BAR as opposed to many running over 1 bar with K16's). Glad you feel it is so fast and good! Now buy my race exhaust and be done with it

LOL Evan, i dont need it, you can still hear the turbo's with this one, amazing mechanical orchestra of sound and so loud already from the outside.

Anyway yea ive been in other cars with ecu upgrades, my car backfires when letting off throttle at WOT and shoots little flames, awesome but that just means there's even more room to improve power wise over what i have now, which is extremely good!

BTW i need a silver hoodcrest, hook it up!

Evan, I actually ran my fastest time with the stage 4 ecu at 11.5 sec.

Interesting reading since I bought a spare ECU from FVD and was absolutely disappointed. I had dealt with FVD Germany with my 993TT, bought turbos etc, and was happy. Not so with their 996 version that I bought from FVD USA. It sits on a shelf.

John,
I am sorry to hear of your disappointment! Please give me a call at 954-977-7130 ext. 23. I would like to hear the trouble you have had and see if there is anything I can do to make the situation better! This is the first complaint on a 996TT/GT2 ECU program I have heard of in my 3 years here so I am very interested in resolving it! I see in our system it was purchased before my time from Theo so I am not aware of the situation so I need your help to recify it!
Regards,
Evan
