Did Dyno Today(very Dissapointed)
I Went for Dyno today
my car has:
upsolute chip, bailey's diverter valves, psi exchaust, and original air box filter w/bmc high flow filter
check my results
you guys think are right?
The guy from the dyno said was flywheel HP 466.7
AWD HP:344.3 (4TH GEAR)
DYNO DYNAMICS DYNAMOMETER AWD

Woah, thats a huge drivetrain loss 35%!!!! I have NEVER heard of that!! AWD loss is more like 22%-26% MAX if I remember correctly which would put you somewhere from 419HP to 433HP which for the mods you have, no does not seem right as that is STOCK power! Even if it were 466 that still isn't right for the mods you have... I have the same things (except from FVD of course) and have 530 or so flywheel HP (using only 13% drivetrain loss on a 2wd dyno).
Somthing is not right...

That particular dyno always reads low... but the 466 fwhp is a bit generous...
Many P car tuners a 17.5 % drive train loss. Im sure some guys can give u a better explanation...

I was pretty dissapointed as well..When I added the Gen II Variotune and a BMC, we got 351!!
Still looks like a low number I agree. I would have thought that hat you have would have gotten you more HP...ah well.
Although drag racing a porsche makes me feel kinda wierd - its actually a very objective test - short of removing your engine and tossing it on a chassis dyno...
Certainly with The exhaust, 9ff ECU and the BMC I was at 375 AWHP...right around 500HP crank - just enough to make my clutch start going...oh well. luckily for me, I happened to have a 620HP 9ff powerkit (which included a clutch) in our warehouse!

I've dyno mine last year with DYNO DYNAMICS. The mod were GIAC stage 2, V-flow, RUF exhaust and got 376AWHP. But later found out they don't have any fan direct point to both inter cooler which lower the number. DYNO DYNAMICS always have the lowest number compare to other dynos.

Billy,
Did you ask them to look at the car to determine why it was so low?
They have a STOCK 996tt dyno run on their website that shows 362 wheel HP
http://www.ktrperformance.com/dyno_t....php?id_num=47
and an upsolute/FVD exhaust that says 391 wheel HP
http://www.ktrperformance.com/dyno_t....php?id_num=48
and an EVO stage 4 that says 430 wheel HP
http://www.ktrperformance.com/dyno_t....php?id_num=46

I thought an ECU flash and exhaust upgrade were good for at least 80HP. You should be pushing at least 510HP at the flywheel with those mods. Get it checked out. Are you sustaining boost? Boost leaks are very common and seem to be more obvious when power is upgraded. I had "missing" HP after my upgrades, but was fixed nicely with new boost hoses and a few other goodies!

If you put that car on a dynojet, you would see right around 400 to the wheels. I can say the dynodynamics is extremely close with its flywheel hp estimates. I have tested many many factory cars with it just to verify it. If that combination should make more power then look elsewhere for problems as the others mentioned.
