Video: Gallardo e-gear test drive in the snow

I just drove the Lamborghini Gallardo with e-gear and I love it!

I'm in Stockholm, Sweden, so it was +1C outside and the roads were wet. Some roads were icy and the surroundings snowy. I could easily have this car as a daily, all year around. It's that good, and easy to drive. It feels like it's carved out of one piece of aluminium. There are no alien sounds and all the buttons work (thanks Audi!). sport auto tested it 0 - 200 km/h in 13.0 secs so it's pretty quick.

Got any questions?

If anyone can host this video ASAP I'd be happy. Downloading is limited to 15 people at a time so try again if you can't connect.

Press pictures...these two.

Nice view. Note the snow

e-gear selector. The R-everse button is to the left of the steering wheel.

Cheers! www.RS6.com

someone let you test drive a Gallardo in the snow???

on a related note. Today, for the first time, i saw a gallardo on the road. It sounded and looked really good. it was silver. I prefer the orange and black ones i've seen though.

oh yeah, if you have driven any other F1 type gearboxes could you comment on the Lambo box in comparison? i have heard this is the best F1 box yet. I'd still take a standard 6-speed if it were me.

I'd definatly go for a black one, but it would have to be 6 speed.

My Sv is faster, while the Gallardo is more user friendly.

I was told at the Detroit Auto Show that Ferrari and Lambo share a new F1 transmission developed by the same outside company.

Yes, it's made by Magnetti Marelli.

I have not driven the Ferrari F1 but I have seen loads of videos of it and it seems very abrupt.

Lamborghini has worked a lot with the software to make it shift softer and it works! It's racy enough and still comfortable.
It's similar to the M3 SMG I'd say.

That was a great video, and no background music or commentary (unlike most sports car videos I've seen). Thanks Erik! That Gallardo is tough. It sounds great and really moves!
