That must suck. I really like possative displacement SC's. I get 11 lbs boost in my 454 Suburban @ 1500 RMP! Too bad the drive train in the 996NA couldn't handle the low end TQ a Whipple would offer.

He has the original 14psi set up. He also has 3.15 gears.. mine has 3.64. It is for sale... so is his Cayenne Gamballa 750. Too bad that one isn't U.S. legal.
Do you know how much he wants for his M5?

I actually don't think any of the fastest Mercs out there (modded E55's, CL65's, etc..) would hang with this M5. The fastest Merc sedan I've seen to date was a fully-modded E55 with NOS that trapped 131.
I wouldn't consider a pulley, new intercooler, shorty headers, intake, and ecu-retune + custom nitrous setup "fully modded". This E39 is "fully modded". On Derek's E55 the motor, cylinder heads, supercharger, exhaust, etc were all bone stock. Derek has less than $10k in his car.

Just my $.02

I don't think it matters much at this level of power anyway. I have a near stock M5 as well and its a pain in the neck to use first gear already, they simply don't hook up well due to weight and skinny tires. I don't know personally, but I would be willing to bet that PhillyM5 has probably never seen full throttle in the first two gears on that beast...............

Actually, Philly, that begs the question, are you still running the factory DSC system in your car? Or did you disconnect it? Mine lights up like a christmas tree all the time, I would imagine it would drive you insane in your car.

The traction control is stock. But the tires spin way to fast... so its like driving with out....If you hit it going straight. The wheels spin for all of second gear... then the car tries to cut the power, but by that time... the gear is over. Traction control will disrupt 3rd gear(cut the power).... so you have to have it off. If you hammer down from 60 its all good.. but up around 5500 rpms.. you have to watch it, then the wheels start spinning up to redline....and if the TC is on.. it will cut the power and throw you right into your seat belt.

As far as the selling price of the Prince's car... you would have to email Sean at Discovery. Im sure he has that info.
