Max,

For the meet I am planning on starting with Klasse All-In-One, adding a few coats of the Klasse Glaze, and finishing off with a few coats of P21S. It should be an amazing finish. Let's just hope it still looks good by the time I get down to Orlando.

Britt
Just drive around the bugs and do not get stuck behind any slurry trucks. All I did before the Jax meet was clean the glass and as long as the front is not caked with bugs you should be alright. Just bring some quick detailer, glass cleaner, microfibers, and paper towels. Or you could always get a quick wash in Orlando.

Hey Rob, Are we still looking at getting a mobile detailer?

I forgot that i was going to start everything with P21S paintwork cleanser. That should strip it down to nice clean, fresh paint. I'm sure it will look incredible after the 5-6 hours worth of labor. My wife is going to kill me!

Wet land fill is better than ROCKS... which they always dump!!!

I have about 5 new rock chips on my bumper just from driving to and from the F-car event last Saturday... Now it was some fun driving and we made it in record time.... Had one Gumball type pass when a lady started to move over and then decided not to... Just had to do the Gumball thing and pass half in her lane and half on the shoulder... Not by choice but had no other option since the F-car was right on my butt...

After the meet up here in Jacksonville, I was racing my buddy in his Lamborghini doing 110 or so and we drove through what appeared to be the remains of an overturned gravel truck from earlier in the evening.

I have about a dozen chips in the windshield and my front bumper, hood, front fenders, and roof got nailed too. Thankfully I was getting warranty paint work on the front spoiler the following day so that was fixed but the rest wasn't so lucky.

I ordered one of those touch-up pens but have not yet tried it. I was waiting for an inconspicuous chip to test it on and got one last week so I will see what happens.

Actualy Britt...

If you are using the Klasse All In One I would think the P21s paintwork cleanser would be redundant. The AIO will strip off the old polish and wax and give you your basis for the Sealant Glaze and/or carnuba wax.

Thanks for the tip... I think you are right! You just saved me about 30-40 minutes that I can give back to the wife. She will appreciate it.

Don't tell your wife yet.

If you really want to clean the paint properly, use a clay bar to remove the embedded contaminants. Ooops! Just cost you 30-40 minutes...

My wife would tell you to ignore me. That I have spent 8 hours detailing my car before and there is something not quite right with me. (Surely you all know that already. ) 8 hours is the once a year strip it down and start from bare paint full on detail session, but that is the one she always remembers.

Yea... the clay bar thing is for extreme situations. My (and your) paint is only about 6 months old so the clay treatment may be a bit excessive.

Doesn't anyone use Zymol, I love it gives it a nice wet look and depth in the shine. I use there wheel cleaner and it works great also, plus when your done you smell like you been at the beach with tanning oil.

Nothing is easier than P21s in my opinion and the finish is awesome!

Hey Brit Did you like the Klasse glaze. I have always wondered if you use that as base and the use P21s or Zymol over how it would work. We need to hook up the week before the O-town get together and do the cars.

Jax03C4s:

I use Zymol on all my my client's cars as well. You will hear different opinions on it and some will say how it is hard to apply/buff off but they are not applying it correctly. I find it provides a great depth of color and is very easy to apply/remove when done correctly. It is hard to beat some Zymol Concours on top of a Sealant as far as a finsih goes. BTW, the wheel cleaner is a very good product as is the wheel coat wax.
