It's going to be a fun few months on this thread, I have a feeling.

Tonight and Sunday will be the last good nights for the Texas boys I think Ryan. Its going to start getting humid soon. I got a mosquito bite last night. That's never a good sign!!!

I had to order the new cigarette lighter pipe down BlackWhorse!!!! It should be ready to rock tonight pending SteveO gets the final part we are waiting on. There is a great spot by my casa for a photo shoot if you are up for it too. Let me know.

I tried this morning and it wasn't cold enough to do any better. I got about ten 8.1's.

Scott, where is your Z06? I haven't seen anything about it. Is it still here at MTI racing?
#1674
Hey brother. Yep, still there. Had to swap out pistons and rings and re-break in the motor. Should be done next week....which is good because I get to come home in about 10 days or so.

Oh, ok, I see you got a six shooter, that is my favorite shifter of all time. I wish I could get something like that for a Porsche. Anyways, good luck man, I'm sure it will be a beast. Post some stuff over here too.
BTW, don't know if your wheels are in GA or VA but there is a place here in GA that will sandblast and powdercoat them for $70 a wheel. I've had a set done there and they are very good quality. If you want the info let me know.

Forget about the shifts.....I know i can shift the car in .2-.3 sec shifts, but what will make a bigger difference in regards to 60-130 on my car will be dialing all the boost in the first few gears.Because the car was on street tires and it has an HKS EVC boost controller the boost map was very "Soft" in that the boost was only allowed to come in gradually at the higher rpm's nor was it at the full boost setting. It was set this way to keep the car under control in the lower gears on street tires and since we were running the mile most of it is done in the last two gears in the upper rpms. The mph at the end of the mile wouldn't be effected by an adjustment of the controller from where we had it that day but the 60-130 times will drop dramatically on a dedicated run because onset of boost will be much more violent.

I've heard great things about the six-shooter.

Thanks for that info, but luckily I found a powdercoating place with a good reputation for doing wheels about 10 miles from my house. I had the seller ship the wheels straight there and they'll do them for $75.00 each. It's good to have them close in case I have any problems.

Joe, congrats! I think you have a 4.5 or LESS in that beast of yours and I can't wait to see what she'll do on a dedicated 60-130 run. My 4.51 has stood for too long for a 6-speed car, time for someone else to take it home!
On another note, the 60-130 event got some good coverage in the latest DSport magazine. You guys should pick it up...there is a 1,001 rwhp red NSX on the cover...

It looks to me like the shifts were .35 and .30 respectively. To me, that translates to .25, or .3 rounded up, matching Peter Blach's 4.51 OR in between Peter and Markski. Throw in more boost and some more focused 60-130 attempts and Joe's at the top. I know this has been said already, but just wanted to hear myself talk I guess .
Scott, you sure were at the top for a long while. I hope this isn't overshadowing your accomplishments.

The temp here in Houston. It was about 60F. I need it to be in the 40's to improve my time any. Since everyone seems to be trying to use the -2.99% gradient to their advantage, cold temps and a 2% or better neg gradient would surely get my time lower than 7.92.
As Ben said, it will be another 6 months before temps get that low.

It's not even consistantly 60F here yet!!! Today and tomorrow are beautiful, maybe 70 tomorrow!!! I've been hunting for a 2.99 just to take advantage of the rules, and as it turns out my fastest 60-130 time is PERFECTLY flat?!! I think it was .00606%. Go figure!!!
