TMC CL65 ran his modded CTS-V to a 8.34 on a 2.0% decline. His previous best was a 8.41.

Great job, Tom!

It would be 2 shifts...and i dont know how fast..not sure how to read the graph...Divexxtreme posted it...how do i tell how fast the shifts are?

And diveextreme, Thanks! Yeah i need to try the other direction, lol...but i did a run the other day that was more than 3% downhill just in the beginning and I ran the same time.

Just looked at graph, I think my first shift was slow, if im looking at it correctly

Start in 3rd at around 30mph and nail it ...shift at 6500 (as fast as humanly possible with out missing!) and run 4th to the limiter...good place to start...

6500 will be a bit low for GT3....

i believe the majority of the power is made at 7600rpm or so...whereas it can rev another 800rpm or so after that...so shifting at 7600 or so would be most optimal i would think?

porsche stats say peak power is 7600rpm. But here is a dyno. The higher line is w/ exhaust (europipe race - deletes all muffler) that is not on now - the lower # is how car is now.
Seems best to go to redline

Redline shifting will be more optimal.

Guys,

TwinTurboM3 ran a 5.07 in his custom built TT E46 M3 25 psi on a 1.7% decline with 1-shift in 51 degree temps. The car is on Toyo R888s and redline is 8,500 rpm.

This is a new 60-130 world record for a E46 M3. He beat the previous record by a half second.
