Thanks Mike.
So that stretch of road is good. I was was worried there was too much decline. Thanks for posting Scott. I know she's got a much better time in her once I get this tune dialed in.

Does anyone have information on the 997 GT3 RS that ran a 5.26 60-130?

A Day at Auto Club Famoso Dragway
Friends,
For your potential amusement, linked below is the documentary of a day at Famoso Dragway near Bakersfield, CA on Saturday November 8, 2008. The video includes the meet up in Santa Clarita, drive to the track with some beautiful California sunrise scenery (and of course a traffic jam), two quarter-mile runs from inside my car, and some runs by friends filmed from the stands. Some of these folks may be usual 996TT suspects on this board. The first part is just some footage of the drive, and the second part includes the runs. Be sure to watch in HD.
I ran on a slipping clutch and 91 craptane. My best run was 12.8 @ 111 mph. I hope to do better next time with repairs, a few more mods and decent gasoline!

I have verified this 60-130mph run by Tym Switzer in a modded 996TT he's been working on. The car put down 580rwhp on 93 octane with the cats. His goal was to achieve a very linear power curve on this customer's car. A good daily driver/track duty set up. Tym can chime in with more details.
Car did 60-130mph in 7.59 seconds on a .7% incline. Great run and nice shift. Scott can you add this to the list?

Thanks for verifying that run for me Aaron. That run was performed during a test drive of a new 996TT combination that I've been working on. It's a K16 based combination with some new custom billet compressors we've just cut for this combination. Although this combination is designed to have a very smooth (almost NA like) power curve for road course duty, I am very pleased with its ability to accelerate at speed. I'm going to post more about the combination on our blog as well.
I designed it to be a daily driver, pumpgas combination that would be very consistent and driveable on the road course on the weekends... all while retaining emissions compliance. The car put down 580rwhp peak on 93 octane through our 200 cell cats and exhaust.
As far as the shift, thanks... we've been working on a new non-assisted clutch setup that allows for very positive and consistent shifts. With the new setup you can time your shifts perfectly so I can't take all the credit.

I have i question, if i want to post my 60-130 shall i run my car from 0 to130 mph or it i sok to start from rolling ?
Thanks
Thanks

How are you planning to time it? If you have a Pbox, start at any speed below 60 and send the file to one of the moderators - they'll extract your time. Without a Pbox, no one will believe your time, so again, start at any speed you want.
