6speedonline's official 60-130, 1/4 Mile, and Standing Mile list

I have verified this 60-130mph run by Tym Switzer in a modded 996TT he's been working on. The car put down 580rwhp on 93 octane with the cats. His goal was to achieve a very linear power curve on this customer's car. A good daily driver/track duty set up. Tym can chime in with more details.
Car did 60-130mph in 7.59 seconds on a .7% incline. Great run and nice shift. Scott can you add this to the list?

Is that K16/18G's ?

Thanks for verifying that run for me Aaron. That run was performed during a test drive of a new 996TT combination that I've been working on. It's a K16 based combination with some new custom billet compressors we've just cut for this combination. Although this combination is designed to have a very smooth (almost NA like) power curve for road course duty, I am very pleased with its ability to accelerate at speed. I'm going to post more about the combination on our blog as well.
I designed it to be a daily driver, pumpgas combination that would be very consistent and driveable on the road course on the weekends... all while retaining emissions compliance. The car put down 580rwhp peak on 93 octane through our 200 cell cats and exhaust.
As far as the shift, thanks... we've been working on a new non-assisted clutch setup that allows for very positive and consistent shifts. With the new setup you can time your shifts perfectly so I can't take all the credit.

So with those numbers...How do u compare it with 18g's?
The 18g's will pull it mid to top ?

Nice job, Tym! Very quick car. Was the run made in RWD or AWD?

cool, thanks for the info.

Thanks Scott... but honestly, this particular combo isn't really built to optimize 60-130 times although it is very efficient. This car is running in stock AWD trim (Full weight 996TT) with a set of hybrid K16 turbos that I've done. They feature a custom compressor wheel that we've had made for them. This car is running 93 octane, through cats... but it's set up for road racing and street duty. The power curve by design is very linear and produces anywhere from 560-580 peak hp on 93 octane. I wanted to keep the package very responsive...it actually mimics the response of the K16's down low with a lot more delivery up top. The cool thing about this car is that it just keeps pulling all the way to redline in a very linear way... it's almost NA in the way it pulls... so it's easier to manage on a road course.

Any more info about the hybrid k16 Tym. I've been very impressed with your work that has surfaced thru this forum. Thanks for sharing.

To note, Ryan has broken many K16 records. So although I have no authority whatsoever, I am imposing some rules for him: he must retain K16 turbines and is not allowed to have anything larger than what will fit in a K16 compressor housing. OK Ryan, give 'em hell.

I'm on it, Chris

I don't mind sharing, Ryan... this is what we do.
The K16's that we're running on that particualar car are hybrids we built using compressor wheels that we had made for the project. We were looking to optimize the efficiency of the K16 units in order to produce a stock-like 996 daily driver in terms of initial and transitional response with a much higher potential at higher pressure ratios and rpm. They are stock K16 turbine wheels... just modified slightly. We're also working on a K24/18G "Killer" that we hope will be substantially better as well.

Guys,
Sean (Dr. Jitsu) ran a extremely fast 5.79 with 1-shift on what was essentially a perfectly flat stretch of road (only a 0.2% decline).
Congrats, Sean!!
