GT2 Cage

it's the same clubsport package that comes in ROW GT3. u have the option to go for rear section only, or add the front section, which bolts right on to the rear section. minor welding required. getting in & out of the car is not a problem. actually it's easier to get in & out since u have one bar to grab on. here are some pics.

unlike the rollbar, this cage bolts directly to the upper rear suspenion as well as the 4 points weld in both center & front of the car. it helps stiffen the chassis quite a bit. ZLP is right. the head protection will be an issue when using the car on street with no helmet. there're still plenty of room though.

If you're under 6' tall, I don't think head clearance should be too much of an issue, since the front section fits pretty tightly to the A/B pillars. As the pix show, the side window is not obstructed at all by the front bars

the cs cage DOES require cutting. you need to cut the rear parcel shelf to bolt the rear legs to shock tower.
the legs behind front seats are bolted to a metal pcs WELDED to the tub, whick also mean you are cutting through carpet, in addition to welding.
sure porsche sells GT3RS with the cage, but only the rear section is mounted. the front is intended to be used on the track. can you drive it on street, sure. if you are hit, you will more likely crack your head than if you dont have a roll bar.
regardless of which bar you want, das, cs, cup car, tequipment, take a browse through tcdesignfab.com. he has duplicated the rs rear section in my car and fong's car (white cage).
cs cage needs to be either painted or powder coated.
