When I swapped mine out, I gently heated the hex part up with a blow torch just enough to help it break the loctite seal...but not to much to start melting the paint. I would have completely wrecked the hex fitting if I had not done this...

It takes a larger rachet and I was able to loosen it without any problems. I had the wing blade on the ground, between my knees and it loosen with minimal effort.

I will try that for sure! Thx. So the heat just breaks the loctite seal? Just wondering what the heat actually does.
