What's up guys, my car came with the V1 radar installed and hardwired into my mirror, thing is it does not work LOL. It detects radar when there isnt a cop in sight, but when i pass a cop that's radar'ing it doesnt go off, can something be wrong or not updated? It goes off when i pass buildings and so on haha!

 

How do you know this?

Cops don't always have their radar systems on you know...

 

Listen, i passed a cop last night on the highway, he had is radar gun pointed straight at me, i was in HOV lane and he was sticking out of the middle divider 4 feet from me LOL, believe me

you can go to the V1 site and enter the serial number. It tells you if it's up the date or not.

Damm, how do i know the serial # haha, i have no idea where in the hell it even is inside the car, it came in my mirror?!?!

 

I entered the program mode and turned off X and K bands which leaves Ka and Laser on. I would check yours in the program mode.

 

Ive never heard of the program mode. I would love to turn off x-band, how'd you do it?

Dammit, the problem is that it is hardwired into my car somewhere and i have no idea where. I have a little round **** which is my on/off switch and in the on position a volume control, i have no way of telling software or resetting

 

It's simple...all you have to do is detach your rear view mirror from your windshield..put the mirror in a Fedex envelope and send it over to Valentine! I'd love to see their reaction when opening up a package with a rearview mirror!

Joking of course...honestly...since it's built into the mirror..you'll either have to disassemble the mirror to get it fixed or unfortunately buy a new one?? I'm looking to get one, maybe they give discounts for purchasing more than one?

I just thought of something...when you passed that cop, there is a good chance that he was using LASER. Your radar won't always detect laser, its kind of difficult to explain.

 

hapened to me too a while back. i felt like the radar was defective and off on its beeps. i sent it back to valentine 1. they did what they had to do and its working fine now...
