Stage IV

What exactly is a Stage IV on a Gt2? I am porting and polishing the headers, adding a Europipe Stage II, DV valves and a reflash. I'm hoping for 550 hp to the crank. Is that considered a Stage IV and are my horsepower assumptions overly optimistic?

Stage IV is normally considered 600 crank HP, but ya...I think you'll be at 550+ with that setup.

On a GT2 the EVO set up consists of K24-headers, MillTek Exhaust, EVO DV's and the EVO intake. You already have K24s so... Then there's the programming too.

My 996TT was a stage 4 before I went to the GT700 package. I loved it. I felt like I was invincible, until I drove the GT700 .

The package was great because it utilized all of the factory components with big power gains. I road raced it and drag raced it and it performed flawlessly. Here's my dyno sheet from my stage 4 with Carbon fiber intake:

So then the modifications that I listed would qualify as a Stage IV? Is that crankshaft horsepower/torque on your dyno sheet?

My stage 4 was k24s, headers, exhaust, software and intake. The dyno sheet attached is rwhp, unadjusted on a race gas fuel map.

Woa, that's got to be somewhere around 610 hp to the crank. I can only hope to get near that number. I will be using 93 octane gas when I put her on the dyno, so I'm hoping for around 500 rwhp. Elaborate on your carbon fiber intake, seems like that is the only thing that I'm missing.

So when we do a baseline dyno on the cars in their factory, stock trim and the numbers are right on Porsche's claimed numbers does that mean that Porsche has inflated their numbers for US cars too?

All of the above tuners (and Porsche itself) always under promise and over deliver in the numbers dept. I have been in a "530 hp" Ruf before. It was one of the fastest cars I have ever been in.

I am going to dyno my 2 prior to any mods. It should put out around 400 to 405 RWHP. That seems accurate since Porsche factory claims 456 at the crankshaft. So I don't understand why the other numbers would be off. I was hoping for an additional 100 or so horses after going to a Stage IV. 500 to 510 RWHP, 550 to 575 at the crankshaft. I don't think these numbers are unrealistic.

Ask kevin at Ulimate what he says he is very low on his Hp nr, i will give you a link from rennlist so you can see...

You and i are going to have almost the same setup on the Gt2, im hoping for 530hp with my mods...Open exhoust, FVD box, uppgraded WG, airfilter
