993 Turbo vs 996 Turbo Brakes
I'm in the process of selling my stock 996 turbo brakes. I've always been told that they are a direct bolt-on for the 993 turbos. Anyway, a perspective buyer with a 993 turbo wanted to know just what the difference is between the 993 and 996. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!

They are completely different they are in no way a direct fit. 993 TT calipers pistons 28mm/28mm rear 44mm/36mm front They also mount from the side opposed from the bottom. 996TT caliper pistoms are 40mm/36mm F and 28mm/30mm R. Unless he finds a shop to make custom adapters then it's not gonna work.

YoWils, not gonna happen 993TT brakes can be adapted to fit an NA 2WD 996 but 996TT brakes won't work as a bolt on for a 993TT. You'll have to see if anyone makes an adapter kit (I don't believe they do?)....

Thanks to James at Sharwerks, it appears that there is, in fact, an adapter kit that'll let you bolt these things on to any 911/944 from 1969 to 1989. I assume that means 911/930/964's (Did I miss anything?). Anyway, thanks to everyone for pitching in and answering the question for me. Much appreciated!
