Custom Paint Job.
Just wondered, has anyone ever considered or done a custom color for their TT/GT2. I'm talking about a pro job here! It's just that I have noticed with a lot of the new 997 cars (especially GT3) that Porsche seem to be going a bit wild with their colors.

I remember my dad had a 1965 Merc 280 a few years back now, and it was completely taken back to the metal and redone from Mercedes dealer (more a restoration of a classic), obviously sent somewhere else to be done, but it was an awesome job as good as new but paid about 15k Sterling (28k US)
BTW it was only Silver, I was talking more about the pro spray job done.

pro paint job means the paint quality is probably better than factory since it's done by the hands of a pro. however, my concern is a proper job requires taking the car apart in pieces for spraying. that's what worried me the most. i hate the idea taking the car apart then put together if there's no need especially if it's done by the wrong hands.

yah, when things are taken apart... people never can seem to perfectly put it back together again.. hehe

Steve, I was thinking of changing my car last week and ordereding a new GT3 in speed yellow as I am a bit bored of silver. Then I took my car for a blast and changed my mind!!
I know what you mean about the brighter colours, last year I had a C2 996 in yellow with the GT3 kit and it looked fantastic, but was a bit slow.
A custom paint job will cost alot and I think it would de-value the car and in my experience (and I have had a fair few cars painted) I have yet to find a paint shop to be able to paint a front bumper that resists chipping as well as the standard paint.
