A- Pillar removal (how to question)

Does anyone know how to remove the A-pillar? I am thinking just pull it, but I don't want to break it.

BUMP! - John, I'm interested in the response also! Did you end up getting the A Pillar with built in gauge pods?

Mike,

No, they only had double and triple gauge mounts and I wanted a single, so I bought a universal fit, single gauge pod at Pep Boys. It was extremely close to a perfect fit. I heated it and formed it to the exact pillar shape. Once I get the pillar off, I am going to extend the sides of the pod to wrap around the back of the pillar and secure the entire assembly to the back side of the A-pillar, so there are no drill holes on the face of the pillar. This way, if I decide to return to the stock look in the future, the pillar will not be ruined. Once a good test fit/install is achieved, I will remove the custom pod, cover it in leather, then re-install it with the gauge.

I tried a GReddy single pod (universal fit) and it was way off, so I am returning it.

Unclip the A−pillar trim. Pull the A−pillar trim −11− inwards along the roof
frame and windscreen frame

I didn't go with the pillar gauge, but I did remove the pillar trim by firmly pulling at the #11 spot. No, there are no screws - it's a pressed on/snap on part.
