X50 in Tampa
#16
I did not buy the car. It was not an X50. The amzing thing is that Bert Smith Porsche in St Pete was helping in the coverup. They would not tell me the option list that was on the car. But they were more than happy to send a PPI report saying that the car was fine.
It is amazing how dishonest some people are. Tony Little and company, both at the Porsche $tealership and "National auto direct" were more than happy selling me an X50 with an aerokit and an "extensive" list of factory options, that was a bare bones X50 with a cargraphic exhaust and rims.
Watch out when buying site unseen. Thanks to the help the members on this board I was not taken to the cleaners.
Thanks Tom Kerr , borroel and Michael996TT

Every time I called he was too busy and couldn't talk, he would call me later. This went on from Fri until Tue. Finally I insisted on talking to the serive manager. He said that the records were in storage and that he was thought that TL had done a ton of work to the car and that he had "added on the X50 package". That is when I figured out that there was something wrong with the deal. I asked him to send me the spec sheet. He called back an hour later and talked to my secretary, not me, saying that it was not an X50.
Ofcourse, they had send the PPI report to me earlier saying the car was perfect. So those $tealers were trying to help Tony Little swindle me along with his chronies at National Auto Direct in Tampa.
I am not naiive, I hear about internet fraud and am extremely aware of it, but I was close to being had. Had the dealer lied and told me it was an X50, I would have been had.
SO BUYER BEWARE, there are lots of crooks out there, even in Tampa.
Thanks again for your help. I will get the X50, but will see it before buying it this time.
