No CD for navigation...
What is the deal with Porsche not sending the nav cd with the car? Dealer says I have to fill out a card and then the factory will mail me the nav cd.. This sucks...anyone else have this issue with a new turbo?

Hmmm...
That is interesting... There is something to having to order one, but my dealer always keeps a set on hand. Each time a car is delivered he orders a new set so that he has one handy for the next buyer. They did have a bit of a glich with mine as it was a new version and they had to overnight two sets to get back up to speed. One for me and one to have in stock...
It took like 2 days which did not impact me since I left the car there for a couple of days to have the short shifter and clear side markers installed before I picked it up..

My dealer filled out the information the day I took delivery, and sent it directly to the 3rd party that handles the CDs. I received a fedex package in about 3 days after delivery of the car. I am surprised they are leaving this for you after making such a large purchase!

Porsche makes absolutely great cars and sells them for a very reasonable prices - I have bought six Porsches since 1995 - but they sure can't plan service related things.
This entire NAV CD process is not acceptable. You pay $150K for a toy and they give you partial functionality when you need it most. When you have a new toy you want venture out into uncharted territory - and have to do it without a freaking NAV.
This pi$$ed me off big time.
When I finally got the CDs - the NAV did not work right (took three hours out of my day visit the dealer to identify the problem) because these morons sent an old software version from 2001. Very smart move to sent out 2001 software for a brand new 2004.

I actually love my PCM II more then the nav in my old ML55 or my wife-to-be's X5.....Much more user friendly....
Also, my car came with the 2 CD (or is it DVD) covering the entire country in the glovebox
