MAXWELL, It was nice meeting you. It was a very hot day. You car ran good.
119 mph is not to bad in that heat.

By the way, this was probably the first time I launched hard in 1st gear in about 3 years.
Heck, there is nothing wrong with those times. It just isnt as easy as most people, or myself for that matter, thought it was going to be. Keep us informed, Kevin

Yeah we had fun. Maxwell and I both smoked our clutches the first time and decided not to try hard launches after that. I ran 12.4 and 122.6 mph I sucked at getting off the line. My car is also not working right I installed the EVO waste gates right before going to the track and they are boosting way to much and causing ecu shut downs. On my 12.4 run the ecu shut down in 4th gear at like 5,500 rpm and I coasted past the finish 12.4 at 112 mph..
I'll get a clutch fix this waste gate crap and try again.

George

George, the TB will usually not shut down in the first three gears... not enough load... if and only if it happens it's usually in 4th and up.
those K24s are good for 1.2 bars sustained... anything after that and you need better flowing turbos...

Sorry OT here...KPG how is that clutch from Kevin M. as far as daily drivability and clamping force is concerned, did you notice any slippage in higher gears under WOT? Worried it will not hold the torque under max boost but it is my last chance before a Tilton setup.

Jean, I have several thousand miles with 2 drag and 4 road course days on it so far. I am totally satisfied... silky smooth and no slipping, even after drag abuse. My wife drives this car a couple of times during the week and she doesnt even know I switched it from stock. That is a testament to its civility... I take it to the drags and the roadcourses and she takes it to Starbucks and Cubscouts. She did notice the turbos though Kevin

So do you need the LWFW with the GT3RS clutch, or can you just do the clutch?

They go hand in hand. There is little downside to the LWFW setup. Kevin at Ultimate sells the whole kit with the correct GT3 disc, Sachs aluminum motorsports pressure plate and 964 flywheel for a very competitive price. The dual mass flywheel will not take the type of torque modded tt's can produce.
