Fabulous
I never said I just thru on bigger turbos. LOL
its on a GT3 RS race head with gt3 intake and exhaust cams... lower end was redone as well.... and thats just the beginning. we got rid of vario cam and now its running on gt3 street software. The fuel system is just like VRalexanders'... except I have a dual pump set up running parallel sucking from each sponson. We have the same setups except the heads...

This is a question for the mega bhp guys:

Have you considered going to 3,8 litres? Just wondering what the pros and cons would be

thanks

CJV has a 3.8 and a 4.0 motor. I would imagine that would help reduce the lag when putting on the bigger turbos.

You guys are all INSANE and I LOVE IT!

I had a 3.8 as well as a 4.0liter, however 3.6 seems to be the best bullet-proof combo....after all Porsche Motorsports uses 3.6liters and they could run whatever displacement they want to write a PO for...

Thanks alex,

So if you increased displacement you dont think there would be any appreciable gains in bhp or turbo response?

very best

Shure you would help spool-up by a few hundred RPM's and the torque would be greater on a 3.8liter....however longetivity wise I would stick to a 3.6liter...the bore/stroke of the engine is more in harmony with a 3.6....This reminds me of a long discussion with Todd at Protomotive when he was ordering my rods and Cylinder liners...the key to these engines is breathing...HEAD WORK....HEAD WORK....HEAD WORK!

Those McKenzie ported heads look mighty familiar . . . . here are mine:

As compared to stock:

Using the same tubos, my engine flows considerably more air, and makes more power, at lower boost, simply by virtue of the head work.

Wow. That's a huge difference, Craig. The leading edge looks a little rough. Is that fine, or should it be knife edged?

Actually you don't want something like that to be knife edged, or polished. While most would think a super smooth, very sharp edge would flow the best (less turbulence) it doesn't allow for a proper boundry layer and actually causes the wet flow to be far less than ideal. Many people forget that under pressure, loaded with fuel, it changes the flow charisteristics a great deal.

But in the most simplistic terms, think golfballs.

I'm so not getting into fluidynamics right now
