it's so much easier to just host them somewhere else and link them.
try imageshack. it costs like a penny a pic. you can post large pics here and put multiples in one post. well worth it for the ease of use. i haven't used the forum image loader in forever.

Host them on here www.imageshack.us , free too! To post them just add a [img] to the beginning of url link and a [/img] to the end!Martin

I had the same issue....then I went to the USER CP and deleted some of the Photos that I previously posted.....then went back and the system uploaded the new photos..

if you do the penny a pic thing with imageshack you can do multiple image uploads and maintain a gallery. i just paypal $5 every so often and it more than covers it.
