GT2 996 or 993?
I am planning to get a GT2 next year.
I love both 996 and 993 GT2. So I can't decide to buy which one.
I buy a GT2 is for the performance and I want to drive it hard!
I think the 993 looks classic, it is quite expensive for a 10 years old car, but probably the price won't drop when I sell it. It is a collector item, so probably it doesn't suit my purpose?
996 GT2 I scare the price will keep going down for a while and I don't want to lost too much money when I sell it.
Another question is which one is more tuneable? 996 or 993?
Any suggestions?

GT2,
Try to get some seat time in both. That's the best advice one can get.
The 993 GT2 is certainly more rare and more of a collector's item. As they were only produced for three years (96,97,98) in limited numbers and only for certain parts of the world. U.S. excluded.
But it certainly is a car that can be driven hard regularly just like the 996 GT2.
As per ease of tuneability, in Europe you guys have the likes of Ruf, Edo Competition, Manthey Motors, and RS Tuning which can easily cater to both cars. So don't worry about that aspect.

the 993 GT2 has to be one of Porsche's best, I have to admit...but since the 996 GT2 is newer, it is probably easier to maintain, and you wouldn't worry as much if driving around on the street. the prices of the GT2 probably won't go below 100K(knock on wood) but if it does, there is seriously something wrong...so my vote is for the 996 GT2...

Judging from your previous questions the 993 GT2 is not for you.
You are driving on bad roads and worried about depreciation/maintenance costs?
Those sound like questions I would ask!
The 993 GT2 is a prima donna car.
Get the 996 GT2, end of story.
