Paddle Shift Conversion for Tip - why not?

Guys...

I was just playing with my xbox controller (aka the Tiptronic shifters on my 996TT) and was wondering, why some engineering whiz hasnt designed a steering wheel conversion that would convert the Tip wheel to a real paddle shift mechanism.

Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Any reason this wouldnt be possible?

It seems that paddle shifting is standard in anything that even 'resembles' a sports car (hell i think Scions have it now). Why cant i have it in my porsche?

Let me know whatcha know.

BL

I think the FVD Daytona wheel has paddle shifters. Look for the Tip Daytona wheel on their Website.

not bad, 1100 including airbag is reasonable. any paddle will still get into the way when autocrossing though. i want the buttons on mine disabled for ax.

for me its just goof off vs. autoX. I cold imagine the TIP would be a pain in that scenario.
