Need help on an exhaust?

When I bought my car it had a Fabspeed loud exhaust with less then 3,000 miles on it. I immediatley knew that this was to loud for my taste and would need to find something else. I then bought the Fabspeed (moderate) 996 exhaust a month ago which is substantially quieter. However after only 100 miles it is still too loud for me since I ultimatley want to use my car as a daily driver. If it wasn't a daily driver the loudness wouldn't be an issue. Fabspeed is awesome don't get me wrong but I need something that is even quieter without loosing too much performance. I am open to any suggestions from anyone on here. Also now of course I will need to sell both of these exhausts. Thanks

Miltek is a nice medium sounding exhaust, definetly quieter than the fabspeed moderate.

milltek and fabspeed quiet I beleive are about the same in resonance. I would go europipe. seems the quietest but not the most powerful.

Thumbs up

Highhats:

According to Stef at Europipe:
EP2 quiet or loud will support 700+ (European Horsepower),
so to my knowledge that portion (percieved drawback) can be removed
from the equation. Protomotive has used them, and they are all over
Europe in Autobahnen burners...
I believe the Doc old muffler study (which was a huge untertaking) was
Before Europipe had even designed thier "STAGE2"
They really make a fantastic exhaust system! (I just got mine
and confirmed with Protomotive that it would support future mods)

You guys are forgetting about TechArt - fairly quiet and supports power. NSAVASTANO - PM me, I might swap for the loud version. I used to run my 964 3" open cat back and loved it - I miss waking the neighbors !!!

Thanks MK

I'm really considering the Europipe exhaust for the quiet factor. I heard a milltek exhaust froma local shop I go to and its jsut as quiet as my moderate. Alot of people disagree. Maybe its cause I ahve the new design Fabspeed but regardless the Europipe has a sweet whistle which im dyin to have. Im gonna clal them and check it out. I know im making killer power but im not gonna cry about a few horses.

Theres a guy in my town who has the Techart exhaust and it sounds awesome just crazy loud. I dont think you can judge a muffler by the first 2 thousand miles I think after 5k they change alot.

Actually that is what I tested was the Stage 2 setup. It was new when I had it. Just released.

I have both Ruf and Europipe2. Ruf is definitely ideal for daily driving.

I have Techart on my GT2 and it sounds awesome. Moderate "bark" when you're on it, but just a nice even resonnance when you're cruisin'. I'm not sure what kind of power peak it could handle, but I bet someone here knows.
